Two decades later while teaching and raising my family in Western North Carolina I was introduced to dry fly fishing by a couple of neighbors who were taught the art from their childhood. Since that time the beauty of the mountains and the streams they house has never been far from my heart. Fly fishing in the Great Smoky Mountains, Colorado and Wyoming with close friends and family have created many wonderful memories that will endure for a lifetime. On many occasions I have found fly fishing a way to replenish my soul and to move me one step closer to God.
