Protacious Milemu, also known as Derrick Agyen Boake, walks out of prison after a three year stretch. He finds himself broke and homeless, the only options open to him being either turning back to crime or begging on the streets for handouts. On his way to his father's house, he is stopped in his tracks by Rogatto Mbewe, a Zambian intelligence officer, who wants his money refunded for expenses he incurred while partially funding a botched mandrax smuggling deal. the same deal that had led to Derrick's incarceration. Derrick's crisis deepens when he further discovers that the criminal world he used to rule has changed hands, and the new gangster kings are not willing to tolerate his presence.
