A collection of poems centered around the war in Syria: from life in the war zone; the dangerous flight, sometimes while holding your child in your arms; the journey of integration into a new and foreign place: the humour, the hope, and the possibility of joy.

"There are so many people who are voiceless in the world. Their voices have always interested me; their hidden stories, their incredible strength. The poems here come from my work helping Syrians who were fleeing the war in Syria. I have written poetry my whole life, but the more I listened to them, the more I felt I really have to help get their stories heard."
