It is thoroughly illustrated throughout and contents include; Anent Sir Thomas Hope's house, Anent Stockbridge, the Dean, and Water of Leith, Anent Wester Portsburgh; or the West Port, From Yarrow to Edinburgh College, The Great Snuff Cure, A Protest and Apology, and The Oak Tree...... Many of the earliest books, particularly those dating back to the 1900's and before, are now extremely scarce and increasingly expensive.
