"Oh, Are You the Substitute?" welcomes you, a parent or a teacher, to a collection of short stories that brings you into the dynamics of the classroom. These anecdotes emphasize the sometimes humorous and always interesting interaction of the students with their peers and the substitute teacher. There are stories on teeth, religion, milk and cheese, marrying a sister, saving a life, Abrigado, and even ice cream. Did you know that most 2nd graders are missing their two front teeth? These stories took place mainly in the Elementary, Middle, and High schools and sometimes outside of the school environment.
