Build reading comprehension The reading passages on each animal start out short, with main points in bold, and color coded. As the book progresses, reading passages become less structured, requiring the reader to do more to recognize main ideas. Each reading passage is followed by a graphic organizer for readers to demonstrate what they have learned. Improve fine motor skills Simple but realistic coloring pages allow for artists of all skills levels to be successful in creating accurate or fantastical images of the featured animals.
