Life is about choices, and the most fundamental choice everyone has to make is whether to live for power or love. All of history boils down to the struggle between the spirit of fear that seeks control, safety and security; and the spirit of courage that engenders, nurtures and protects life. It is no less true today than in the time of Jesus that "he who seeks to save his life will lose it." Now the struggle has reached apocalyptic dimensions, with no less at stake than the survival of the human race. It will take a miracle to save us, but it is not unreasonable to believe in the possibility of such a miracle because we constantly behold a miracle in life itself
