Aprašymas
Feminisms Past and Present publishes monographs and edited volumes on feminist histories, the history of women's movements, feminist approaches to contemporary culture and activism, feminist interventions in the broader discipline of gender studies, as well as on political and societal shifts in the wake of feminist initiatives.
It is a space for writing that foregrounds the historical continuities in feminist thought and practice and argues for the continued relevance and urgency of feminist politics, ideologies, theories, memory, and activism on a global scale. At the same time, it is a forum for dissent and debate within feminist scholarship that reflects the plural and dynamic nature of feminism itself as a social phenomenon.
The topics and authors in the series reflect the board's commitment to an intersectional, inclusive feminism: we publish research both by emerging and by established scholars from around the world, and work on feminist histories and contemporary cultures in historically underrepresented and under-researched regions and language areas. Editorial decisions are based on academic merit alone, and all submissions go through rigorous peer review before publication.
