G. Murray Thomas spent seven years on dialysis, waiting for a new kidney. He finally received one through the generous acts of his sister and a total stranger. My Kidney Just Arrived collects Thomas' poetry from that period, including his reactions to the various medical procedures, as well as reflections on waiting, family, and death.
