In this world, monsters consume a person's lifespan in exchange for granting their every wish. However, Nea's mysterious "apothecary" monster, Dino, seems uninterested in consuming hers. If not her lifespan, what will Dino require of her in exchange for her wishes...?

A powerful monster appears on palace grounds — one whom Nea recognizes from her previous life.

The mysterious newcomer insists otherwise, however, begging answers only Dino may be able to provide — and revealing Dino’s true rank among monsters: their king. Nea can’t help but feel unworthy, yet even less willing to let him go.

As the hunt for the Grimmdoll Chain begins, Nea and Dino must venture beyond the safety of the palace grounds. Nea will do anything in her power to keep Dino safe…

But what protection can a tone-deaf Songbearer possibly offer the King of Monsters...?
