They eventually meet by chance in a small town in rural North Carolina where Daniel had met and fallen in love with a young widow who has a teen-age daughter. However, Tom impacts their lives again when the young daughter is found murdered. The story follows the lives of these two brothers to the ultimate conclusion of death and redemption.
