Josie Marsh needed to hit the reset button on her life, and a stay with her retired Aunt Lillian in Stone River felt like a good way to start. But she was expecting her visit to the small town to be more Gilmore Girls than Murder She Wrote.

When trivia night at the local pub ends with a competitor dead in the alley behind the tavern, suspense author Josie naturally has questions about who could have committed the crime. Is it a coincidence that the victim's family owns the nationally-known cookie factory that everybody in town seems to have a grievance with? Was this just an extreme case of poor sportsmanship? Or was the motive something bigger than cookies and quizzes?

With the help of the local bookshop owner, her aunt's quirky trivia teammates, and the pretty Stone River detective who'd really prefer she stop meddling, Josie must come up with all the right answers before time runs out.
