Aprašymas

For the first time since she left for college, Ruby Faye is back home. Grappling with alcoholism and an unexpected pregnancy, she leaves her job at a strip club. She returns to her small Appalachian town, ripe with the summer sound of cicadas, to live with her mom and fanatical Aunt Cindy.

While waitressing at a Perkins Buffet, Ruby Faye meets Hayley and is caught up in DailyVita, a multilevel marketing vitamin wellness scheme. Desperate to stop her drinking, Ruby Faye begins using and selling DailyVita products to her family. Pressured to find a larger customer base, Ruby Faye returns to the Pentecostal church of her childhood, The Light.

Still unable to stay sober and enthralled by the sincere faith shown by The Light's members, Ruby Faye attempts to re-convert. As things with DailyVita fall apart, and even a baptism at the annual revival fails to fix her, Ruby Faye must grapple with her decisions and her understanding of God.

Brash and sincere, More Abundantly is a unique examination of alcoholism, religion, and women's reproductive rights, and a love letter to those who have searched for a sign of God after leaving the churches of their childhood.
