Aprašymas

A stroll through Monaco's mosaic of greenery, from the Princess Grace Rose Garden and the Jardin Exotique to the zen oasis of the Japanese Garden

In Monaco Puts on the Green, readers are taken on a guided tour of green-clad Monaco, with 20% of its surface area covered in public and private green spaces. Walk from one tree to another on the monolith that is the Rock of Monaco, at the foot of which exists a thousand-year-old grotto. Explore the lush Parc Paysager de Fontvieille, whose rose garden is home to 450 varieties from all over the world. Or discover the private gardens of the Prince's Palace of Monaco and Roc Agel, whose stunning nature is rarely seen by the public. With support from Prince Albert II, Monaco is committed to the fight against deforestation and to protecting biodiversity. This book chronicles the history and evolution of the principality's plants, with full-color photographs highlighting the green spaces' style, beauty, and artistry.
