A poet and writer with lakes and mountains in her blood. An adventurer who has travelled to many places across the world and taken part in some of life's outdoor activities. She is now settled in North Yorkshire, belongs to several writing and poetry groups, and runs the North Yorkshire Stanza. Kathleen is part of Books and Beverages, Promoting Yorkshire Authors, Arvon Poets and Scriveners

This is a collection by an accomplished poet. One who sees the world as it is, with courage and clear vision. It is rich and varied, covering family, characters, people, social concerns and landscape, all written with energy, humour and rhythm. I like the way the poet has divided her collection into sections, it means the reader can dip into a section, drawn in by the subtitle. I deliberately saved the section Just For Fun, until last. A joy to read, reflect on and return to.
