Pindal, a young princess in the mountain kingdom of Ararat is kidnapped as her beloved husband is killed. Sold into slavery, she is carried by a marauding army far south to the land of the Judean King David. Her twin brother Javan searches for Pindal, but is trapped into slavery himself. When he escapes, he finds himself also in Israel and enters the service of King David. Pindal has found new love with another of David's warriors. Although near one another, they still do not find each other. Near the end of her life, Pindal is drawn into service as a messenger to King David. She dramatically changes the history of Isreal when he responds to her request. Finally the twins are briefly reunited. In their struggles to survive, both twins have learned the values of kindness and friendship. They have also learned to trust the God of Isreal to hear their prayers and to meet their needs.
