Abe became immersed in the Goth subculture during the mid-90s to the mid-2000s, that "scene," along with the post-apocalyptic urban conditions in the Motor City, inspiring him to write The Antiheroes. Abe Sulfaro (1970-2014)died while making final edits to The Antiheroes.
