Mehviyat, literally translated to Musings or engrossment is reflection on life, liberation, events, subtle and complex human emotions and the many shades in between that are often ignored, overlooked or left unprocessed. These verses evolved in my journey and made me comprehend or more often exclaim silently on paper and keypad as spoken words were not to be found. These verses have been my friends when no one was close by and I do hope that they resonate well with readers and bring them strength, or stir an emotional chord. Urdu and Hindi are beautiful languages and the range of emotions that can be engraved using these two might be difficult in any other medium. Mehnat, mashaqqat, karobaar aur taqseem me hindi aur urdu kaa haath thodaa choot sa gaya.. Hence, this book is written in Roman script but for readers who can understand Hindi and/or Urdu.
