Mehmet Ozyurt: Selfless Teacher (el. knyga) (skaityta knyga) | knygos.lt

Aprašymas

A selfless teacher who dedicated his life to the service of people and lost his life in the service of faith.

This moving biography traces the life of Turkish scholar Mehmet Özyurt(1945–1988), a beloved imam, teacher, and pioneer of the Hizmet movement. From a humble childhood in rural Turkey to years of sacrificial service in mosques, schools, and forgotten communities, he embodied a life devoted wholly to faith, sincerity, and service.

Mehmet Özyurt was a Muslim who successfully transcended obstacles such as self-importance, pride, and arrogance, becoming a critic of his own soul. He lived a life of knowledge and humbleness, and through his actions, embodied Fethullah Gülen’s words, “Living for the sake of others.”

Told through heartfelt memories, personal anecdotes, and the voices of those who walked beside him, A Selfless Teacher is more than a biography. It is an invitation to reflect, to serve, and to remember that the quietest lives often carry the loudest echoes.

Mehmet Özyurt passed away in a tragic car accident in 1988 while serving on the path of God. May God have mercy on his soul.
