The behaviour at a segment can then be used to predict more complex behaviour such as moment redistribution, the behaviour of prestressed concrete members, and the behaviour of members that have been strengthened using external reinforcement. The engineering is equally applicable to RC as well as fibre reinforced polymer reinforcement and fibre reinforced concretes.
