Aprašymas
An inspirational graphic novel based on a true story from World War Two. Maria lives happily with her Catholic family in Poland - until war comes to their town. Then Maria's school closes, her Jewish friends disappear and she is sent to her aunts in Warsaw, for safety. But when Maria helps the Polish Resistance she is arrested, imprisoned and sent to Auschwitz concentration camp.... This moving, inspirational true story of World War Two celebrates a young girl's courage and determination to survive in terrible times, experiencing great cruelty but also surprising kindness. Vividly told as a graphic novel, the story is based on the real-life letters and memoirs of Maria Bryl and includes an endnote with information about WW2 and the real Maria.
