Aprašymas
Lumi was born different.
While the other reindeer calves were deep brown and tucked safely beside their mothers, Lumi was found alone after a strange spring storm, cold, shivering, and white as fresh snow. The farmer who found her saw something beautiful in her right away. He warmed her, fed her, wrapped her in blankets that smelled of cedar wood and hay, and loved her as his own.
But Lumi could not stop looking toward the herd.
She watched the other reindeer graze together, play together, and move through the pasture as if they knew exactly where they fit. More than anything, Lumi wanted to be one of them. She wanted to be accepted. She wanted to belong.
When the other calves reject her because she looks different, Lumi decides that maybe the problem is her brilliant white coat. Maybe if she can cover up what makes her stand out, she can finally become the kind of reindeer everyone else will love.
But changing the outside cannot quiet the ache inside.
After running beyond the fence into the wide, beautiful, frightening world, Lumi discovers that freedom can feel lonely, the dark can feel much bigger than she imagined, and the truest kind of love is not something she has to chase.
It comes looking for her.
Lumi's Journey Home is a tender, beautifully illustrated children's picture book about being different, longing to fit in, and discovering the deep comfort of being known, loved, and chosen. With gentle winter imagery, an unforgettable little white reindeer, and a message that will stay with us long after the final page, this heartfelt story is perfect for bedtime reading, holiday gifting, classroom read-alouds, and families looking for meaningful books about self-worth, acceptance, kindness, and unconditional love.
Ideal for everybody who loves animal stories, reindeer books, winter picture books, and emotional stories about belonging, Lumi's Journey Home reminds young readers that they do not have to become someone else to be worthy of love. They were precious all along.
