A collection of intensely personal poems from a young South American woman, depicting her feelings as she ventures away from her home country of Colombia, leaving her family and friends, to travel the world. Along with detailed and vibrant observation of her surroundings, the poems cover her dreams for the future and her longing to travel, intermingled with commentaries on friendship, love and faith as well as life events. The poems were written in the 60s and 70s but the thoughts and sentiments are timeless. Most of them are in English but there is a short section of Spanish ones at the end of the book, written when the author was in her youth.
