Aprašymas
“So, let me tell you a story. Because tonight I am hurting, and I need you to listen. Tonight, I need you to see me again.”
A story about love and heartbreak — told differently.
Losing Time is a contemporary romance composed of short prose pieces interwoven with poetry, recounting a story of unfulfilled love inspired by the author’s own life experiences. The story feels familiar yet distinct: it explores a relationship that falls apart when the man chooses the path of an arranged marriage, but ultimately transforms into respect and a deep, sincere friendship.
This narrative is a journey toward her — a woman surrounded by swirling darkness and frozen time, writing to her lost beloved, asking him to hear her voice one last time. Out of despair are born letters of love, passion, and hatred, imagined and lived experiences, and their echoes in poetry. The book is woven with recurring symbolism of visibility and voice, as well as subtle elements of magical realism.
The story travels between England, India, Abu Dhabi, and Lithuania, gathering scattered fragments of events and illustrating the restless perception of time in moments of pain. Different narrative forms gradually shape both the story itself and its resolution, inviting the reader to reflect on how powerful it is to rediscover one’s voice — and to be heard.
