This book is a tribute to God's faithfulness to His people, and to His mission to build His church and expand His kingdom. It is also a tribute to the faithfulness of God's people to answer the call to share the Good News, and to make disciples among all the nations. It contains stories of those who answered the call of ministering overseas for short periods of time. It also includes accounts of those who laboured in other cultures for long periods of time. Some of these missionaries became leaders in our movement, others returned home and continued to serve in their local churches. In addition to his years as a missionary with the Free Church in the Philippines, he has served at Trinity Western University and Seminary, as Executive Director of the EFCC Mission and as Prayer Director for the Denomination. Arvid has always been passionate about challenging disciples to embrace God's call to mission. "God loves you and Arvid has a wonderful plan for your life," is a phrase that still brings a smile to many of us throughout the EFCC who have interacted with Arvid about missions. This book is a testament to Arvid's desires to both enable people to answer God's call to missions and to ensure that their stories are not lost. Arvid and his wife Ruth reside in Abbotsford, BC.
