This book was written to inspire self-confidence in children and especially to encourage girls to be adventurous; to affirm God's love for us and to inspire an awareness of wildlife. The story can be read straight through as secular fiction, but three illustrated plates with quotes from the Bible throw God's perspective on the story. Characters and illustrations in the story are from UK wildlife and the book includes a small section of Nature Notes for parents to read and share with their children.
