This book was written, as the title indicates, to be a source of light and peace for those Christians who, despite their best efforts and intentions, find themselves discouraged by doubts and fears, especially in their ordinary duties. Where we might tend to an extreme that throws us into turmoil, Fr Quadrupani gives us the tools to find an authentic balance that doesn't compromise, but rather enriches the spiritual life. The author formed his own spirituality on the model presented by the life and teaching of St. Francis de Sales, and in this little book he reflects the wisdom, prudence and sweetness of that 'gentleman Saint'.
