If you live in the UK, you might enjoy programs such as "Who Do you Think You Are?" (Looks simple on TV, but behind the scenes a team of researchers spend weeks researching all the data) I'm sure there are similar celebrity based "family tree" sytle programs in the US too. Why not make the job easier for your decendants, and write YOUR life history NOW, whilst its still fresh in your memory. After all, who knows your life better than YOU? This 69 page A4 book is divided into a series of sections. On the left-hand side are a series of notes and prompts, advising you on what sort of details to write in the blank pages on the right-hand side. For example, the "Your Birth" section prompts you to include details such as: - Date of Birth - Hospital you were born in - Town / City of your Birth - Any complications during your Birth - Date of Christening or other religious ceremony Other sections include: - "Parents & Family" - "Your Childhood" - "Your Education" - "Working Life" - "Marriage" - "Children & Grandchildren" - "Retirement" - "Friendships" - "Hobbies and Interests" - "Travel & Holidays" - "Important Values and Beliefs" - "Likes and Dislikes" - "Nicknames" There's even a blank section where you can write a biography about yourself - in your own words. Thus, your entire Life history is contained within a single book that can be passed down to future generations, written in your own words. The idea for the book came about when my Aunt - who has dementia - was moved into a care home. They wanted to know her life history so that they could sit and chat with her about her life in quiet times. Whilst I was able to answer a lot of the questions, there were a few things that only my Aunt would have known; we'll never get the answers to those questions now. So this book can also help your relatives pass relavent facts onto care workers or - will allow YOU to chat to your relation. You might discover things that even YOU didn't know about them!!
