Gifted architect, mixed-martial-arts enthusiast, and family man Jason Beck gets backstabbed by office politics and illicit business practices, and strikes out on his own. Athan Fortino’s nephew, Larry Riegert, is stuck in a rut, following his sociopathic ex-CIA older brother, Chuck, through a long series of criminal enterprises: smuggling, arms dealing, drug running. But, after a bloody clash with powerful competitors, Larry and Chuck have to leave Los Angeles in a hurry, heading for Northern California’s wine country. There, Larry, soul-weary of society’s underbelly – and tired of watching over his shoulder for men with guns - hopes for a final big score to launch them into a quiet retirement. When their obsessive uncle Athan - ignoring medical danger signs - suffers a stroke, a fall, and a coma, Larry uses subterfuge to gain control of the winery project – and nearly $3 million of Athan’s money - and uses it as a front to build a novel high-tech coca plantation. Underground, in an abandoned wine cave. Larry and Chuck set out to become North America’s first mass producers of cocaine, the Walter White and Gus Fring of blow.

It starts out great. But, then, everything goes wrong. Operating the underground coca plantation and drug factory are far more complicated than the Riegert brothers had imagined. And, other “interested parties” begin to notice what’s happening among the vineyards. They don’t want just a slice, they want the whole pie - without any inconvenient architects or Riegerts in the way. Plus, Larry hadn’t reckoned on brilliant, desperate, stubborn Jason Beck, for whom failure of the winery project is not an option. No matter what Larry does to prevent them, Jason, and Athan’s beautiful business partner, Raquel Soltero, simply won’t give up trying to uncover what’s really happening at the winery.
