Reading this book is comparable to sitting across the table from a trusted mentor. Rich takes his professional experiences and anecdotes and translates them to actionable suggestions for emerging and even seasoned leaders. There are many takeaways from this leadership primer, but most impactful is Rich's steadfast belief in "leading from your chair" and embracing your subject matter expertise as your key to providing value to your organization. It's a smart strategy. I also like the way Rich doesn't shy from conflict and mistakes - he addresses them head on as opportunities for all of us to learn and grow.
