Ms. Wang Mengsha, a well-known contemporary Chinese ink wash artist, has released her first limited edition publication Landing Guy Walks into Mengsha. The publication includes many of the artist's most iconic pieces from the beginning of her career. Rather than just compiling works as in conventional art publications, this book exhibits the works and creative ideas of the artist in a poetic and experimental manner, translating the idea of drama into a visual language. Through a discourse that spans time and location, the artist's creative thought, and the display of her works, the "meeting" of the Oriental painter Wang Mengsha and the Western theatre master Shakespeare resulted in a collision of aesthetics and soul.
