The Kyiv 2022 defense operation was the most important battle in Europe since World War II. If Kyiv had fallen after the attack began on February 24, 2022, Ukraine would have been lost and Putin would have continued. The Ukrainians defeated the elite troops of the Russians, who seemed overwhelmingly powerful from the outset, in 38 days. Or, as they themselves say: in one month, one week, and one day. The target audience includes military personnel, politicians, and the interested public who want to understand what war means today.
