Before Big Joe was killed, he told J.T. about a pouch hidden under his floorboards. Now J.T. and his best friend Rache-the smartest, fastest, and cussingest girl in fifth grade-have taken the pouch and discovered it's full of photographic proof of the town's leading citizens caught in dirty deeds, including Rache's new stepdad. Together, J.T. and Rache make a decision that will change everything.

Taking the pouch and going on the run, the two kids flee the hometown they've always known on a canoe trip down the river. The bad guys are in pursuit, ready to do anything to cover their tracks and save themselves...even if it means hunting down and killing a couple kids who know too much for their own good.
