Following on from the sensational Darnia's Quest, Jenara's Return sees our hero Dar learning about the mighty power of God and spirituality. With a couple of new and unusual friends, the eccentric Jarlo and Nardian, by his side, as well as the craziest grandfather a boy could ask for, Dar must face up to Brian, his erstwhile friend and now arch enemy who arranged to have him beaten up by gang members. Even though he is hospitalized by the beating, Dar manages to get from his bed to church in time for the service. He is determined that the actions of Brian will not affect his life and through his courageous actions hundreds more of his contemporaries are also able to find God. But what of Jenara? Will she be revealed as something tangible, or is she simply the best part of Darnia's dream's ever?
