These three kings of Judah pleased God as kings who were over the people of God - the Jews. Jehoshaphat the son of Asa reigned in the place of his father after Asa's death. Now the Lord was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the former ways of his father David; he did not seek the baals, but sought the God of his father, and walked in His Commandments. King Hezekiah trusted in the Lord God of Israel, so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor who were before him. For he held fast to the Lord; he did not depart from following Him, but kept His Commandments, which the Lord had commanded Moses. King Josiah, the son of King Uzza reigned in the place of his father after his father's death. And he did what was right in the Sight of the Lord, and walked in all the ways of his father David; he did not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.
