After the war, each went their separate ways. Jay became a Woodbridge, New Jersey, cop. Mike was a cop in San Francisco, and Tony went back to the opera.
Eighteen years later, all three lives become intertwined. Jay moved to San Francisco after Mike offered him a job on the San Francisco Police Department.
