Jassids are insect pests of several crops of agriculture, horticulture, floriculture, forests, green house and medicinal importance. They cause damage to crops by sucking the cell sap and affecting photosynthesis, growth and yield of the crops. They also transmit viral diseases from infected to healthy crops. Therefore, knowledge on their diversity and control is integral part of their management.
