Since 1921 American schoolchildren have been taught a politically correct view of the American Revolution by Socialists Charles and Mary Beard's text, History of the United States. In college, American students were furthered propagandized by Communist Howard Zinn with his text, A People's History of the United States. Now comes the real history of a typical Rev War soldier, a representative of the minority ethnic group that fought the war and defeated the British Empire and their German hirelings. He fought under conditions of great hardship for more than eight long years in the Continental Army while his family suffered from his absence. All Americans owe James Dougherty a debt of gratitude.
