"Jael" is a three-act play inspired by the biblical story of Jael. It drives powerfully home the irony that Jael, an outsider to God's covenant with Israel, had a strong and eager faith that won her timeless honor, while Barak, at the center of the covenant and for whom destiny was crying, balked in his faith and as a consequence ceded grounds of honor.
