I can do this, Isla thought to herself as she made her way from her dressing room to the backstage area. Even though Isla had done this routine once before and knew it by heart, something was making her nervous. Without a doubt, Isla knew what that something was. As she waited to go onto the stage and perform her solo, Isla worried that her solo would not be good enough to win. Before Isla knew what was happening, the stage lights turned on and a voice over the intercom said, "Ladies and Gentleman, please assist me in welcoming McCarthy Academy's Isla Danney to the stage!" Here goes nothing, Isla thought, as she made her way onto the stage.
