Jackie Magnuson Ash grew up in Saline County, on a medium-sized farm, surrounded by a family of readers. After a college education, she expected to weave the written word into the fabric of marriage and children. The passing years gave her more than she could have imagined. She's been published in various journals and magazines, including PlainSpoken: Chosen Lives, Chosen Words, Kansas Voices (2000- 2004) and Caryn Mirriam-Goldberg's Begin Again, an anthology of Kansas poets. She currently lives with her husband in Lindsborg.
