In his eulogy Nigerian President- Muhammadu Buhari describes him as an icon of professionalism, bravery and discipline who demonstrated these attributes throughout his national and international assignments. Prominent among his numerous appoints held are: Commander Lagos Garrison command, Commander ECOMOG peace keeping Force Liberia and Chief of Army staff. He passed away on October 9, 2017 aged 70.
