Aprašymas

Debora Greer invites you to join her at the crossroads where she will introduce you to the Afro-Brazilian folk magic tradition of Makumba.

Written by a makumbeira, this book takes you on a journey to reveal the mysteries, traditions, and magic that was born out of the cultures of the enslaved people brought to Brazil.

With the soul of a memoir and the practical information of a grimoire, this book invites you to learn the historical and cultural roots of Makumba as well as the plants, spirits, and stories responsible for its rich tapestry of magic. Though Makumba is an initiatory path, you will be supplied with enough magical, historical, and cultural knowledge to form the foundations of a respectful and powerful spiritual practice that will create a life of joy.
