... while portraying the ugliness of war as well as the camaraderie and loyalty among soldiers, it also shines a light on the women from NL whose roles, sacrifices, commitments and contributions to WW1 were significant and too often forgotten. Being both a Military Veteran and being from and living in St.John's in the past, I truly related and enjoyed this novel. Looking forward to seeing more by this Author
