Aprašymas
Since 1909, the Rouen Museum of Fine Arts has been a reference place for Impressionism. François Depeaux, a Rouen industrialist and unconditional defender of outdoor painting, is one of the patrons who promoted the international recognition of the movement. He is at the origin of the most important collection kept in a French museum outside Paris. Pissarro, Monet, Sisley, all were his guests when they came to work in Rouen but it is Sisley that he is closest to. Fascinated by the artist's meditative personality, he was the main support in his last years. This is why some of his most fascinating masterpieces are included in Monet's master paintings.
