"We started in a garage. Woz (co-founder Stephen Wozniak) and I both grew up in Silicon Valley. Our role model was Hewlett-Packard (the electronics company). But the industry started to grow very rapidly in the 1979-80 time frame. The Macintosh team was what is commonly known now as entrepreneurship-only a few years before the term was coined-a group of people going in essence back to the garage, but in a large company.
