"Ann, I need your help. I am not a hummus fan. Although I know it is supposed to be good, and healthy for you, it just doesn't sit well with my palate. That being said, my sister and brother-in-law are on their way to visit us from California, and they are huge hummus fans. I would like to impress them with a few homemade hummus dishes while they are here, what do you suggest?"

I have to agree with you, hummus is an acquired taste. I have sampled various hummus recipes while being entertained by others, and I make it for my husband all the time, so I am very familiar with these spreads and dips. This recipe book contains ideas from all 4 corners of the country and a few from the international community.

Hummus has gained popularity as a healthy alternative to mayo and sandwich spreads of similar content. It is a very easy item to make from scratch and if done correctly it will be the talk of the party the next time you entertain a group of family, friends, or business associates.

Some of my husband's favorite recipes include Cucumber Rounds with Hummus, Cucumber Hummus Sandwich, Black Bean and Chickpea Hummus, Smoky Chipotle Hummus, Creamy Yogurt Hummus, and Quick and Yummy Hummus, just to name a few. If you are a fan of hummus, or just want some simple ideas for a dip dish to pass at the next company function, then this is the recipe book for you.
