"...The boy realized that he had been scared of the cockroach not for what it was, but for what he had believed it was. He questioned, for the first time in a very long time, how much he actually knew about cockroaches. What are you, really? he wondered ... He thought, maybe cockroaches aren't all that different from me."
A boy begins a life-changing journey when a disgusting guest, a cockroach, disturbs his dinner. Pausing to question the origin of his fear and disgust for the little creature, he reflects on a number of difficult feelings and memories, and starts to question the 'truths' he has also believed about himself, love, and life for too long.
