When we are going through a difficult situation and experiencing pressure in life, we can begin to lose the confidence that comes from being a child of God. We can start to lose our enthusiasm for life.

Sometimes, the situation is so severe or prolonged that we start to feel pressure to give up, hide from our problems, or run to sin to numb our emotions.
