Became Company A of the SC 5th Infantry Regiment in 1862. Company B - Richland County Company C - Spartanburg County Company D. Sumter and Clarendon Counties - Darlington Sentinels. Joined the Palmetto Sharpshooters in 1862. Company E - Kershaw County Company F - Sumter and Chesterfield Counties Company G. Darlington County - Hartsville Light Infantry. Became Company E of the SC 6th Infantry Regiment in 1862. Company H - Edgefield County Company I. Clarendon County Company K - Lexington County - Pickens Sentinels.
